To All City Water Customers:
U.S. Utility Solutions will be doing our city-wide meter swap/installation. All contracted employees will be in marked vehicles.
The installation will be done in sections (or Routes) of town at a time. Please see the Route Map Here. Prior to a section (or Route) that will be worked on, we will be sending notifications on all our platforms and via text message so you can plan and prepare.
Contractors will be working in alleys or in front of homes. They will make every attempt to make contact with residents before they change out your meter if the meter is inside your yard. If your meter is inside your yard, U.S. Utility Solutions will need access to your property to change your meter, but they will be accompanied by a City Maintenance Employee.
While installation occurs, you will be without water for about 30 minutes. While contractors will be flushing your line. There still may be air and a little bit of sediment in the water line. Prior to using your water, we recommend that you flush your lines by turning on your bathtub’s cold-water faucet or use an outside faucet. Avoid flushing from faucets that have aerator attachments or hot water faucets that may draw sediment into your water tank.
